Government & Business Partnerships

Businesses can promote employee giving campaigns to sponsor scholarships in their community.

Local governments can raise awareness to keep federal tax dollars in your local community.

Win-Win Partnerships

Sponsorship details:

  • Tutoring scholarships will be named for local businesses who participate in employee giving campaigns.

  • Larger businesses may also choose to sponsor scholarships for an entire school or network of schools.

No Cost Giving Options:

  • Donations to an SGO are distinct from traditional employee giving campaigns because employees will recoup 100% of their gift through the tax credit

  • It’s also possible for employees to submit a W-4 to HR to adjust their withholding and redirect payroll taxes directly to a tutoring scholarship

    • In this scenario take home pay does not change and neither does their tax liability

Local Government as Convener & Amplifier

Family Tutoring Alliance works with local governments to convene local stakeholders such as school system leaders, major employers, and CPAs/Financial advisors.

These stakeholders then work together to raise awareness about the tax credit so that federal tax dollars can stay in the local community and be used to support tutoring scholarships for struggling students.
